MANSFIELD, Mass., September 27, 2007 —Astrodyne Corporation introduces an expanded series of 15, 25 and 63 Watt Desktop External Switching Power Adapters. The SPU16, SPU25 and SPU63 series offers single outputs in voltages from 5VDC to 48VDC. All units accept Universal Input of 90-264 VAC. These desktop switching adapters are ideal for use with microcomputers, desktop peripherals, printers and test equipment. They are CEC & Energy Star compliant with No load Power Consumption of less than 0.5W.
The adapters provide line/load regulation of +/- 2 to 5%, low ripple/noise of 1% (typical), Overvoltage and Overcurrent protection, and operate at a typical efficiency of up to 88%. Output connection is made via a standard coaxial plug. The adapters also provide input-to-output isolation of 3000VAC and have full UL, CSA, and IEC safety certification and meet VDE/FCC Part 15/Level B EMI/RFI requirements. All adapters are RoHS 2002/95/EC compliant. Units are value priced starting at $14 ea. in OEM quantities with deliveries of stock to 8 weeks ARO.
