MANSFIELD, Mass., March 10, 2008 — Designed to meet the space and performance needs in low to moderate power I.T.E systems and instrumentation applications, Astrodyne Corporation announces the multi-package PMK225 line of high density switching power supplies that provide output power of 225 Watts with active PFC. All models accept universal input from 90-264VAC and 6 models, in each package style, are available that provide single outputs from 5VDC to 48VDC.

The PMK225 series is approved for UL/EN60950-1 safety specifications. Utilizing high density SMT construction and providing power densities of up to 4 Watts/cubic inch, the PMK225 offers dramatically reduced case sizes which are up to 30% smaller than products with similar output power. The PMK225 series may be ordered in either of three package styles, including U-Channel, fully enclosed or DIN Rail mounts. All models feature short circuit, overvoltage and over current protection and an integral power-good LED indicator. The PMK225 series operates at 100% capability to a temperature of 50°C with 18CFM forced cooling. Dimensions are 7"L X 3.86"W X 1.5"H (U-Channel) and all models feature screw terminal input/output connections. Medical (PMMK225) UL/EN60601-1 versions are also available. The PMK225 series is value-priced at $99 in OEM quantities with delivery at 6 weeks ARO.
